My work is inspired by the built environment - shapes in architecture and patterns in city planning. And also by landscapes - patterns in the natural environment and in man-made agricultural landscapes.

Experiencing different built and natural environments growing up inspired me from a young age to notice and focus on contrasting patterns in the world around me.

I use ink on paper and explore with pens of all different line weights, starting thin and light and gradually adding weight and contrast. My technique is greatly influenced by my design background.
